Spun Theme Not Showing Circle Gallery in Grayscale

I selected the them SPUN because of the minimalist design and the grayscale gallery option (images are grayscale until you scroll over them).

I checked Appearance>Customize> and ensured the box was UNCHECKED to have color images all the time, as I highly desire to have them in grayscale until scrolled over. Any help? I’m new and I’m trying to get things up and running

    Hi there,

This is happening because your front page is set to show your static Welcome page, which has an image gallery added to it. Regular image galleries like that will always display your images as they are when you upload them (so they’ll be in color if you upload a color image).

To get the grayscale images like in the Spun theme demo, you’ll need to set your front page to display your latest posts, instead of using your Welcome page as the front page. You can change that under Settings > Reading in the blog’s dashboard. Next to “Front page displays” you can choose “Your latest posts.”

Then, you can publish blog posts with a featured image. Each post’s featured image will be displayed on the front page of your site, in grayscale.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

It works now – you were a great help!
