    Howdy!

    A new circle will appear for each post on your site. Your theme automatically uses the featured image, if there is one, to put in that circle. If there is not a featured image, then the post title will be shown.

    The theme does have a few configuration options that might better suit your needs, in the Theme Options section of the Customizer, including the ability to always show the post title (overlaid over a black and white version of your featured image). If you don’t want the featured image to appear at all, then you need to not set a featured image.
