Spurious text in Text boxes

    I have spurious text appearing in a text box – “Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.” and I can’t delete it. How can I remove this text ? I could edit the html, but then I can’t upload the saved page via FTP. There doesn’t appear to be an edit button that would allow me to remove it .
