sql backup file conversion to WXR file

    Hi,

    I exported my entire blog into an sql file using http://www.ilfilosofo.com/blog/wp-db-backup/. Now I would like to import this file into wordpress hosted on wordpress.com. Problem being that the importer available can’t handle sql files. Can anybody let me know of a way to convert the file to the required WXR format?

    I tried to find a solution but don’t have a running sql database available to import and export again on another format.
