SquareChild slider doesn’t slide

  I’m using the SquareChild theme, and I have a slider on my homepage. But half the time, when I edit the site, the slider turns into an extremely long banner of the pictures in the slider, and my content gets shoved so far over that I have to scroll sideways to view it. I’ve had to remove the slider, but is there any way to fix this issue?
