I read the post ‘How to install a SSL Certificate?’ I want to create a second site as a shop, I like to use WooCommerce they require a SSL. Does the SSL Come with the Premium Plan? And how can I check to see if it’s work before purchasing WooCommerce plugin?

    Hi lightsubscriber ,

Does the SSL Come with the Premium Plan?

Absolutely — we offer HTTPS on all WordPress.com sites by default.

I read the post ‘How to install a SSL Certificate?

This is something you would need to setup yourself on a self hosted site but we take care of that for you.

And how can I check to see if it’s work before purchasing WooCommerce plugin?

Seeing https:// in your browser’s address bar indicates your site has an SSL certificate and is secure.

Installing custom plugins (like WooCommerce) is only supported on the Business plan , so you would need to upgrade to use it on WordPress.com.

    I hope this helps!

@lightsubscriber, All WordPress.com Sites don’t have an SSL requirement, because they are already encrypted and secure. You do need the WordPress.com Business Plan, if you are looking to install the Woocommerece plugin.

I also see that this has been tagged as Modlook, so staff should be coming here to help with this issue as well. Please be patient as they reply.

Additionally, All sites have SSL already installed and they cannot be modified or changed. If you had a self-hosted site, then you would be able and get access to your SSL, and you can provide it to them so that you can then move forward as well. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks!
