  My site birthdaynotfound.wordpress.com (with the alias agirlhasnobirthday.com) is not secure

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, birthdaynotfound.wordpress.com is secure. The domain you mentioned is pointed at GoDaddy’s name servers. Even though it’s redirecting, we don’t have the ability to add SSL to a domain that is not pointed here. Also, using an alias (also known as a masked forwarder / masked redirect / stealth redirect) can cause problems with SEO, so I’d recommend against it.

  Here are two better options:

  1) Set up the domain using mapping instead of a redirect
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  or

  2) Keep the redirect, but set https as an option on GoDaddy’s side, and use 301-type redirecting rather than “hiding” the real site address.
