SSL Bad Certificate Error for iFrame Embed

  Hello,

  I have had my WordPress blog for about 8 months and love it. I am trying to take the next step of embedding it to my website using an iFrame.

  When I bring it up on Firefox, Safari and iPhone I get the following error:
  (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

  Eventually I get it to come up by saying continue, but I do not want this happening to viewers. How can I fix this issue. Do I need to purchase an SSL certificate or is this something that needs to be fixed on the WordPress end of things?

  I have not installed WordPress anywhere. Just an iframe window to the blog…..which works very nicely, once the error code is bypassed.

  We cannot help with that here. You are posting to the wrong support forum to get help with a site that’s not hosted by WordPress.COM. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

  You are trying to iframe into a plain html web site – as noted above we don’t provide support for those types of things –

  If you want the html web site with a blog in it then your best bet would probably to install WordPress.ORG software on your new site – you could also use WordPress.ORG to drive you entire site

  No upgrade here will solve the SSL issue that I am aware of –

  You could map your blog here to a sub-domain on your html web site but you would have an issue of the blog looking different – as you will with the iframe you are having trouble with now

  PS – if you go the WordPress.ORG route you can export your Posts and Pages from here and import into your new install
