  ‘Your connection is not private’ / NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
  is presented when whoever visits my site.
  WP.com claims this is updated fairly soon – I am waiting months.

  https://desiderataxyz.wordpress.com/ shows a padlock and is secure. Are you talking about a different site? What is the URL and is it hosted here or should you be discussing the issue with whoever hosts your site?

  I don’t see a domain linked to the account. Can you let me know which one you’re working on? On WordPress.com your SSL is included with the hosting plan.
