SSL Certificate

  I have activated my SSL Certificate via HostGator about 2 weeks ago. When I login to my WordPress dashboard it still says my website is insecure the address bar. My url just says ‘http’ and not ‘https.’ I contacted HostGator and they investigated and said my site is actually secure and to not worry. I need to launch my site in a few days, and am getting very worried. Thank you for your help in advance!

  Hi,

  It appears that your website uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  All domains registered with WordPress.com automatically come with SSL.

  You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/

  Hope this gets fixed soon!
