ssl certificate and unsecure warning

    On the WP help site I read that the SSL certificate is automatically added to my site and there shouldn’t be an unsecure warning however I don’t think a certificate was added and I get that warning. I have a DreamHost website powered by WP. Is that why?

    Hi there!

    Yes, that is correct, you will need to contact your registrar for that.

    To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is a stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting. On WordPress.com the SSL is included.
