Hello, I was curious why the SSL certificate for my website is still pending? Would someone be able to check on its status and provision it / activate it if possible?

When domain’s are connected to WordPress.com, our SSL service regularly checks to see if a certificate can be issued. If the domain isn’t configured properly, these checks would fail and the system will not try again for a given amount of time. That time will increase gradually if failures continue after multiple retries.
