SSL Certificate still pending

  Hello,

  I bought domain foodsonthetable.com trying to make a recipe website. I’ve been waiting for the SSL certificate for some time now, for over 72 hours.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That site appears to be hosted at GoDaddy, not here at WordPress.com.

  Yes I bought it on GoDaddy but i got wordpress subscription trying to link the two

  It says “The domain foodsonthetable.com is not transferable.”

  On wordpress when I try to transfer it says that.

  I just bought it Aug 28 2025 the domain from GoDaddy

  There is a 60 day lock on transferring domains (To here or anywhere else for that matter). You can connect that domain to a site here at WordPress.com immediately with an annual paid plan.

  Hello, @ashtonhabluetzel! Thanks for letting us know about this.

  I noticed that the issue is that your domain is not pointing to your WordPress.com site because of custom DNS records. To fix this, you’ll need to connect your domain properly by following this guide:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  Once your domain is connected, we’ll be able to issue an SSL certificate for it.

  Regarding transferring your domain to WordPress.com, you’ll be able to do so once it has been registered for at least 60 days, as themagicrobot mentioned. In the meantime, you can still connect it to your site.
