SSL certificate still pending after long time

    Hello, I transferred a domain from squarespace to wordpress several months ago, recently started picking up a website and could not reach it (‘certificate invalid’) and could not view or use any of the uploaded media. I found and fixed the DNS records a few days ago. Should it take any longer for the SSL certificate to become active?
