SSL certs and moving to self-hosted

    I’m moving a wordpress.com blog to self-hosted (but leaving the domain registered with wordpress.com). I’m unclear what the best approach is for handling the ssl cert. It isn’t necessary for the blog, but I would like to avoid users getting errors.

    Can I get a copy of the existing SSL cert to add to the new hosting, or can I generate a new one from the new host to avoid users getting errors trying to connect?
