Hi. tonight I’m getting problems with people accessing any posts or pages on my site in chrome , the following wonderful message appears
“This is probably not the site that you are looking for!”You attempted to reach ufohunterorguk.com but instead actually reached a server identifiying itself as *.wordpress.com
Never had this error ever!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Loose the “s” in

This error happens in all posts, besides the first part of the url is created by wordpress and cannot be edited, read the error, users are being redirected to a different url, also using https when accessing the dashboard should make no difference its a wordpress option , it also happens in incognito mode, never had this error in 4 years, its a dns issue which started today

I will let the staff take a look at it
But the “s” always gave me problems, most of the time the link is clean but from time to time I pick up the “s” – that is my best shot
please be patient – the staff are a bit backed up at this time

Thanks for the reply, Yes I can see what you saying but the error states its being redirected to ufohunterorguk.wordpress.com. thats whats causing the error, it should go to the custom domain of http://ufohunterorguk.com/thenameoftheposts instead as of today links are going to http://ufohunterorguk.wordpress.com/thenameoftheposts thus creating the error, also I always use https in admin but to test I disabled it and the error still appears, also I do not like to access my dashboard without using https for security reasons! I have not changed any config on my site or pc :)

No rush, I can still post, I know how busy the staff are, thanks for your help, much appreciated, peace out my friend

This is a known bug with the recent posts widget, where the https link sometimes gets returned for links. I will let you know if I hear any updates on the issue.

I received an automated email today from Goole which presumably belongs to the thread. Can you please advise.
We have noticed that the host name of your site, https://micksmuses.com, does not match any of the “Subject Names” in your SSL certificate, which were:
*.wordpress.com
wordpress.comAs a result, many web browsers will block users from accessing your site, or display a security warning message when your site is accessed.
Recommended action
To correct this problem, please get a new SSL certificate by a Certificate Authority (CA) with a “Subject Name” or “Subject Alternative DNS Names” that matches your host name.
