SSL for admin site, but default ssl for reading too?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I have a private blog and I’d like to have the entire blog secured with ssl.

Two questions: 1. is this possible at all? 2. if so, is it possible even if I use a custom domain name?

I can’t decide if I want to continue hosting with WP.com or use another webhost to allow this.

    Many thanks!

I’m so sorry but we cannot even begin to answer your question without the URL for you blog starting with the http:// prefix.

You see every day many bloggers posting to this forum fail to read the sticky post at the head of the forum and about 30% of them are actually posting to the wrong support forum and we cannot help them at all, we can only point them to the correct forum for their software.

wordpress.com and wordpress.org run on different software please read > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1

The following support entry is for those who have free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

On the other hand, if you have a wordpress.ORG install then you will have to post here for support http://wordpress.ORG/support/
