SSL issue

  I have a user that is seeing this error when trying to go to my site. ‘the certificate is not valid (expired root)’ any idea what is causing this? the SSL is clearly active so not sure what to do.

  Hi There,

  Could you please share the website URL for which you are facing this issue?

  Also, on WordPress.com, the automated process adds SSL certificates from Let’s Encrypt after the registration or connecting of domains and this process may take up to 72 hours to add.
  Please provide us with those details so we will have a closer look and suggest you in the right direction.

  Hi there,

  I’ve checked the SSL certificate on your site, and it’s completely fine. The current certificate was issued on 14 October, and is valid until 12 January next year, but our system will automatically renew it before then.

  I’m not sure why your site visitor saw that error, but it’s definitely not a problem with your site.
