SSL support for subdomains mapped to wordpress.com?
-
Say I have a blog – myblog.wordpress.com – that I then have mapped from a custom subdomain – blog.myblog.com. All content on myblog.com is served via https. Is it possible to use https for the blog (https://blog.myblog.com)? If so, what certificate gets used? Mine or WP.com’s?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Would it be possible to double-check this against a tech specialist to make sure that this is not possible, even with premium accounts?

Westi, who is Staff, is a tech specialist and the Premium upgrades (not the $99 Premium nor the $299 Business upgrade) here do not give you SSL support, but I’ve tagged this for Staff input.

Hi there,
I can confirm that this isn’t possible — Westi’s post in that other thread explains the issue. We only have SSL certificates for our own domains and so we can’t support SSL for mapped domains. Upgrading doesn’t change this.
Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this. :)
