  in fact, any of our dashboard links currently have a .php url,
  since we can’t access php, I guess this must be a general wp.com issue

  Some of the links to pages in your dashboard will end in .php which is entirely normal and expected behavior.

  If you are having an issue accessing any of your pages or with your blog itself, please let us know.
