Staff: Reply by email to forum threads reposting entire email received by OP

This seems to be a recurring problem.
Two examples of recent threads I’ve responded to:

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve filed a report, but my searches aren’t bringing up too many instances of this, so it’s a bit tricky to troubleshoot.
Can you tag any posts you see like this with a consistent tag so we can get a better sample of when this is happening? Just let me know what tag you’d like to use.

“trailing email” is the tag I’ll use going forward.

He just tried a fix actually that may help… crossing our fingers here! It was a pretty rare thing and we weren’t able to duplicate it here, so we aren’t sure yet whether it’s fully covered, but we’ll be hoping. If you see any more of these, let us know. :) And thanks for gathering up some samples. That is helpful. Cheers!

@timethief, regarding the email appearing in the thread, or the second issue mentioned where folks usernames give their addresses away?
I think the first issue may be fixed now.

I am so sorry to say that I don’t recall now.I ❤️ ♫ singing ♫ & was a fool to give it up for blogging. Since I removed my domains from my blogs and took up singing again I have been less focused because I’m usually singing as I answer threads.
