I need to find out if there’s a place for announcements from wordpress about changes they plan to make to the system. I found that my blog page had changed and I thought it was something I had done. If there is an announcements page, I’d like to know where it is because I’ll be sure to check there on a regular basis from now on. And while you’re at it, can you tell me how to find that draft post that I saved?? Like another user’s notes to support staff, I’m a newbie at blogging and to have my cyber-world turned upside down without notice is, in my opinion, rude of WordPress staff.

Many of the multiple daily changes to WordPress.com are not announced prior to being rolled out.
If you are referring to the change to the New Dash posting area, you are not alone in your surprise. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posting-articles-2/page/3?replies=86#post-1929418
Again, the New Dash is the most volatile area of WordPress.com. You may prefer to post directly in your site’s Post Editor by going to Dashboard>Posts>Add New rather than using the New Dash posting area.
If you look under Dashboard>Posts>All Posts, you may find that draft you saved.
Public announcements of updates and new features are made on the WordPress.com News Blog that you can subscribe to. http://blog.wordpress.com/

I thank you. For a while there it felt as though there were no live people behind WordPress.com. And yes, I will subscribe to that link for news. I was considering abandoning my blog and going elsewhere, but really didn’t want to do that.
