Staging Site Creation: Unable to access home page
-
Hi all
I selfhost an wordpress with woocommerce installation running on nginx and I wanted to create a staging site on a separate server. I migrated the wp-contents and database over. I confirmed the setting in the database are using the staging url and deleted transients. I referred to the wordpress documentation to make sure I didn’t overlook anything.
Everything is rendering with the exception of the homepage, which is throwing a 301 error. I’m able to edit the homepage, but not able to preview it.
Any ideas on where I can look next or troubleshooting ideas?

Hi there,
To clarify, self-hosted WordPress sites use the free open source software from WordPress.org
However, this is WordPress.com (not .org) and we do use WordPress here of course, but we use a custom version to work with our cloud-based service. Because of these coding differences we’re not able to help. But the good news is that help is available at the wordpress.org forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/wp-advanced/
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
