Staging Site Unavailable – “site connection issues”

    I am unable to set up a new staging site. The error says, “There is a site connection issue.” I’ve move through all of the suggested steps to fix this. I have a premium subscription and WP is hosting.

    Any thoughts on a fix or a work-around?

    I am facing the same issue. Please let me know if you get help or have any clue of how to solve this.

    Hi there, AFAIK, staging sites are available on the WordPress.com Business and Commerce plans.

    If you have such a plan, have you tried the suggestions in this support guide? https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/troubleshooting/staging-site/

    Hi, my issue is now solved. I tried various basic troubleshooting steps given on the forums and support pages like
    – clearing cache, using other web browser or private browsing
    – checking for Jetpack plugin for errors

    Turns out that Jetpack plugin is often to be blamed. Disabling SSO module inside Jetpack actually fixed the issue.
    For you the issue might be different but take a look at Jetpack for sure.
