Stalled import into WordPress.com–next steps?

  I’m moving from self-hosted to WP.com, and my old blog was too large to import in one fell swoop. Used a (Mac-friendly) splitter to carve it into three pieces. The first part imported fine, in less than 24 hours. The second chunk is hanging somewhere.

  Can anyone help? I want to get everything all snug over here before I redirect URL to these servers. Blog in question is http://communicatrix.wordpress.com.

  Hi @communicatrix, it looks like that second chunk was still a bit too big.

  My pro tip is to go ahead and remove any pending spam comments before creating (and possibly splitting) another export file, then give it a try again.

  And posts you’ve already imported will be ignored, so no worries about duplicates. Let us know if you need more help!
