start a new account or upgrade from a free account I already have with WP

    I own http://www.AllResults.com and want to continue hosting it with the provider but want to change to WordPress to use woo. If I upgrade, I do not want the free trial account to be associated with the ‘Health3919.wordpress.com’site I created back in 2016.
    is this possible? or should I just create a new account? not sure of my options.

    Hi there,

    Are you wanting to build a whole new website? Or just add the shopping cart functionality of WooCommerce?

    If you’re going to build a new website, you can do so with the existing site (Health3919.wordpress.com) and change the domain over when it’s complete.

    Or, you could create a whole new site and optionally erase the existing (Health3919) one.

    If you want to keep the existing site, you can use a subdomain for the shopping cart, maybe https://store.AllResults.com and that would be created using WordPress/WooCommerce.

    Customers would bounce between “www.AllResults.com” and “store.AllResults.com” as they browse the site, so you’d have some visual inconsistencies but would be functional. It would also make more work if you decide you want to change the colors or anything, as it would need to be done it multiple places.

    You’ll also incur more hosting charges, as you’ll be paying both register.com and WordPress.com but will save you rebuilding your entire site.

    Hi @health3919,

    Presently, your allresults.com site is hosted with Register.com. If you plan to stay with that host, you can use the open-source WordPress.org software alongside WooCommerce with their hosting services.

    However, you can also start a new site on WordPress.com, and upgrade it to a Business plan, which includes WooCommerce. You can then connect your domain to this new site.
