Start from scratch, a blank page
-
Hello! I am trying to start with a blank page where I could create a website. So I created two new pages, in Reading I set these two pages, Welcome and Posts, but all the stuff from WordPress, the blog entries etc., keep appearing. There must be a way to erase all that? Where are these files actually located? Thanks! Carine
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As you are new to wordpress.com please read this support documentation entry carefully http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You cannot “create a website” here. You can use a free hosted blog and make it resemble a website if you do not care about backlinks, Google juice and PageRank.

We cannot create either Posts or Static Pages here > Settings > Reading
And it’s extremely important to understand the differences between posts and static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ -
To create a new post, go to Posts > Add New from the dashboard or use the New Post link in the gray admin bar shown at the top of WordPress.com pages while you are logged in. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-screen/
There are two ways to start writing a new page. You can click Pages > Add New in the left menu. Or you can select New Page from the dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the administration screens. http://support.wordpress.com/pages/page-screen/

When you delete a placeholder you create a “404” not found. If you see a “not found” message on your blog home page, that’s because you haven’t added any posts or set a static front page yet. See the 404 Not Found Error page to learn how to fix it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/
