Start new website

I have an existing domain and website hosted by GoDaddy. My current website builder is very limited and was advised to use WP. Can I build a site in WP without having to first transfer my domain? I want to keep my existing site active until I’m done creating the new site in WP. Is this possible?

You can build your new site here and then wait to connect the domain until everything is ready to go.
You can get a free site and the free features with a
.wordpress.com subdomain. Use a temporary name for your site as an example: sitename.wordpress.comKeep the new site private as to not affect any SEO.
