  Hi there,

  If you wish to start a fresh new site and keeping your current site address, you may do so by following the instruction in this support document:

  Empty Your Site to Start Fresh

  This option will allow you to keep your site’s address and currently activated theme but will remove all posts, pages, and media for you to start fresh.

  You mentioned upgrading to a .com site, could you elaborate further where do you plan to host your site? Is it on WordPress.com or other web hosting provider?
