I need to start over on the blogs that I created and don’t know how to remove everything. I want to keep one of the blog URL’s and keep another one active but have two that I created in trying to transfer a blog but was unsucessful.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are willing to wait rather than doing this yourself http://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/ Staff can empty the whole blog for you. That will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, and you are prepared to wait then type modlook into the tags in the sidebar of this thread for Staff attention and post again to this thread to:

    (1) confirm the URL of the blog you want them to empty;
    (2) confirm that you know content deletion is irreversible.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 (page not found): https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

trying to transfer a blog but was unsucessful

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and their associated email address.

The blog’s owner must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to transfer the blog and any upgrades to another username account.

    Hi Nancy,

I can help you start over. Right now, I see four sites linked to your account:

    1. https://nancyleema.wordpress.com/
    2. https://nancyleemacpa.wordpress.com/
    3. https://crystalclearprofits.wordpress.com/
    4. https://crystalclearprofits1.wordpress.com/

Can you describe exactly what you’d like to do with each of those sites? Once I know what you want to end up with, I can help you get there. :)

    Hi Rachel,

Thank you so much. The two blog URL’s that I do not want at all are nancyleemacpa and crystalclearprofits1 and can actually be deleted because there are no valid web domains for them.

These two, nancyleema and crystalclearprofits, have valid domain names but I need to know how they work with a website in order to be able to tell you what I want to do with them.
One website (crystalclearprofits) is in transition between another platform and wordpress and the nancyleema is new.
I would eventually like the nancyleema to be the primary blog and website but while I’m making the transition, I am using the crystalcleaprofits. In the end, when all is done, crystalclear will be an umbrella under nancyleema.

I also want to eliminate the Money Fitness blog all together and just have the Transformational CPA and primarily under the nancyleema.

I hope I explained this clearly enough and thank you again!

    Hi Nancy,

Ok! Let’s take these one step at a time:

The two blog URL’s that I do not want at all are nancyleemacpa and crystalclearprofits1 and can actually be deleted because there are no valid web domains for them.

You can delete each of those blogs by following the steps in our guide to Delete a Site. Please read the messages and warnings carefully, as deleting a site is permanent.

To delete nancyleemacpa you can go to this page in its WP Admin dashboard:

    https://nancyleemacpa.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=delete-blog

To delete crystalclearprofits1 you can go this page in its WP Admin dashboard:

    https://crystalclearprofits1.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=delete-blog

These two, nancyleema and crystalclearprofits, have valid domain names but I need to know how they work with a website in order to be able to tell you what I want to do with them.

You can turn either or both of these into websites (with or without blogs) if that’s what you want to end up with. We have a guide to Build Your Website in Five Steps with tips for how to do that.

Please give that a try and let me know if you get stuck with any of those steps. :)

    Hi Rachel,

Thank you for the info. I have successfully removed the two URLs that were not needed.
My question is that if my intention is to eventually have the two blog URLS and eventually end up the nancyleema as the primary. Would this be the best approach right now? Create the website and blog for nancyleema with wordpress and have the two integrated right now and use that as my primary? Then have the crystal clear blog being directed over to my website for crystalclearprofits as the secondary blog?
Also, can I have The Transformational CPA blog with the two blog URLs? Meaning that I write one blog and would be able to be used at both blog domains or is it only one blog, one domain?

    Hi Nancy,

Can you describe what you want the websites/blogs look like? I’m not sure I entirely understand what you mean by primary and secondary, so it would help if you could describe how you envision everything looking when you’re done. :)

    Hi Rachel,

When I am all done making the transition, I would like to have nancyleema as my main website and blog with people still being able to find me if they searched for crystalclearprofits under a blog or domain name.

I currently have crystalclearprofits.com as my main domain name and only have website. After I started to create the blog, I was told by a blogger and other business people that people that I would connect better if I used my name. I had created The Transformational CPA under the crystalclearprofits and now I’m re-thinking that it might be best if I create the website and blog in WordPress for the nancyleema and still have the availability of people being able to find my blog under crystalclearprofits as well.
My question is, if I create the blog called The Transformational CPA would people be able to find it under nancyleema.worpress.com as well as crystalclearprofits.wordpress.com or only one and in that case, I would choose to have it under nancyleema.wordpress.com.

If I can only have one, how would I be able to change the current blog to nancyleema because it is showing up as crystalclearprofits?
Hope this clarifies what I’m trying to do and is this the best route?

    Hi Nancy,

Thanks, I see what you mean now. There isn’t a way to have the same website/blog at two different WordPress.com addresses, but if you plan to use your domain name crystalclearprofits.com that actually doesn’t matter.

If you add your domain name crystalclearprofits.com to your site nancyleema.wordpress.com, you can make it so visitors who go to that domain name end up on your site. (You can also add as many domain names as you want, and have them all point to the same website/blog.) So you don’t need a second site/address at crystalclearprofits.wordpress.com to do that — you just need the one site/blog at nancyleema.wordpress.com where you add all your content.

When you’re ready, you can add domains to your site from the Domains page. If any of that is unclear, let me know. :)

    Hi Rachel,

If I’m understanding correctly, I don’t have the nancyleema.com wordpress website built yet but would like to get the blog started. I would just keep the blog at crystalclearprofits.wordpress.com for now and it will point to the nancyleema.com once the website is done?

And currently, there is a blog called money fitness under the nancyleema.wordpress.com for my entire account of crystalclearprofits. I would like to rename that blog so I can set it up for later use. How can I change that?

nancyleema.com is registered over with GoDaddy. You can start building your site at https://crystalclearprofits.wordpress.com/ and then once you’re ready to launch it, map nancyleema.com to https://crystalclearprofits.wordpress.com/ following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

And currently, there is a blog called money fitness under the nancyleema.wordpress.com for my entire account of crystalclearprofits. I would like to rename that blog so I can set it up for later use. How can I change that?

    I assume you’re referring to https://nancyleema.wordpress.com/ ?

If you want to change just the site title “Money Fitness” to something else, you can do that via Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard.

If you want nancyleema.wordpress.com to be [something-else].wordpress.com, you can do that following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
