Start Youtube @ specific points
-
I moved my blog from blogger to wordpress, and for some reason I cannot start videos at a certain point anymore. I embed the videos exactly like I did in blogger and it doesn’t work. I have looked on-line, tried numerous things, and they don’t work. I don’t know what the issue is? or how I am suppose to do it in wordpress.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am having the same problem with Youtube. It worked a month ago, but the video I tried uploading today, in the same exact format, did not work. I am 100% sure that my code is correct; pasting the html does not good, either. I had to upload the video into Daily Motion, and then it worked.. but I can’t stand that the commercial running before it.
So.. what is wrong with the Youtube function??

The ONLY method that always works for embedding Youtubes here is the shortcode method, and that does not allow for this kind of customization as far as I know.
The YouTube function goes wonky from time to time, but the shortcode of [youtube=URL] always works, as long as you have the correct URL from the Share box, It may or may not have something to do with the new themes: are you guys using the new themes? Some bugs are being reported. -
We had this discussion about starting a youtube video at a certain point about 3 or 4 months ago. I haven’t seen anyone with a solution that works with wordpress.com.
The only customizing I do is I add “&rel=0”, no quotes of course. I add it at the end of the url and then after the video plays, they are no related videos displayed.
[youtube url&rel=0]Regards,

To make a Youtube video start from a specific point, you write the shortcode this way:
[youtube=URL HERE&start=NUMBER HERE]
(Number = how many seconds from beginning of video.)
