  Started a page at https://uplandweb.wordpress.com/ but don’t know what to do next. How do I activate this? Post a new blog?

  Hello @davedava,
  The blog is already active. Now all you have to do is add a newblog post or create a new page or convert your blog into a site.

  It all depends on what you want your wordpress.com site/blog to be!
