Starting a new blog

  I was hoping to delete this blog, and start a new one. I started this years ago and I want to go in a different direction. I canceled my subscription thinking I needed to cancel my whole account and get a new domain name. But, looks like I’m locked out of WordPress for 30 days if I do that. What’s the easiest way to start new?

  Hi there, because of the recent change in plans, you might want to stick with your current site. If you’ve changed direction, you can empty that site of all its content and then change the site address to something else.

  Edit a Site Address

  If you register a brand new site under this same account or a new account, the new site will be under the new “free” plan limits. https://wordpress.com/support/create-a-blog/#adding-a-new-site-or-blog-to-an-existing-account

  (NB because these plan changes are so new here, I am not 100% sure about whether changing site address will help retain your 3GB storage or not, but worth a try.)
