starting my site over

    Hello. I would like to start my website over as a ‘professional’ website instead of a ‘business’ website without loosing my webpage name is there any way to do this? thank you.

    Hey thanks for that but I don’t think that’s what I’m looking for. I just started a site and I chose to start off with “business” instead of “professional” and so I went to try a theme out and it’s very different from a test site I just made to see the difference between them and but I can’t figi out how to erase it all and start over. I can’t even customize it to look like the professional option because it won’t let me erase the “contact me” box. I’m super frustrated, do you know of anyway I can talk to staff at WordPress?

    Are you talking about the plan you chose (business, premium, personal) or any particular theme?

    I can’t figi out how to erase it all and start over

    What is it that you want to erase? Is it a page, post, or all of the site’s contents?
    Also, which theme were your trying on?

    do you know of anyway I can talk to staff at WordPress?

    Thanks for getting back to me I think I may have figured it out on my own. But if you still want to look into it, that would probably make this all easier for me. I am simply talking about when you first make a webpage you are asked to choose what kind of webpage you want to get started. The options are blog, business, professional etc. I chose the wrong option, but I didn’t think much of it until I tried the option I actually wanted. It was different and I wanted it to look like that but I didn’t know how to just start over without loosing my webpage name. Until I went to the actual website and found the edit option in the bottom right corner. Then I deleted all the preset menus and such. And that’s where I’m at now. It would be so much easier if I could just start from the “professional” template option because I’m trying to make a photo based portfolio. Instead right now I’m just starting from scratch which is just more work. Here’s a link and thank you both again.

    I don’t think choosing either “business” or “professional” actually makes much difference. It probably just gives you a different theme template to start with. You can easily change themes if you wish and filter for photo or portfolio themes etc at: https://wordpress.com/themes
