Starting new blog, but nothing works

    Hello.

    I am struggling to start my blog on wordpress. I had one a few years back, basically I downloaded the programme, ran it and it worked. I even had thousands of readers…A few years later, today, I wanted to start a new one. The old is gone forever. So I wanted to download Wp, but just needed a Little programme. And to install and use that programme, I just needed to install and run a third programme. Tis went on for a couple of hours and nothing worked.
    After seraching 16 different blogs on WP as the subject, I finally found a Danish one, my language, and eas told that the famous 5 inute minstall, was a load of…So true.
    Instead it re-directed me to a bunch of small programmes I should install, all buncled up nicely, and I installed them. Suddenly I was on WP, who hoo!
    Only to realize that after registering the name of the blog, Fashionfatwa, I was directed to a WP site with a Black frame around it, and it had a default comment on it. In order to delete or edit, or to begin blogging, all I had to do was to log in. I couldn´t…because at no pint was I asked to deliver an email address or password. I then remembered another old blog, jakeonthetown, that was still active to some point. I accessed it, and hey! I could now strat a new blog, but guess what? The name of the blog, FashionFatwa, was already taken!
    How am I suppose to blog at all like this? There is NO guide when stuff doesn´t Work, only if I log on, which I can´t. The recovery email to jakeonthetown is even the correct one, but when I tried to use it, it said error. No user was registered with that email, despite the fact I was on the dashboard of said blog.
    I need your help in getting me started, and yes I am probably not directing this email at the right people, but to be honest, it´s really hard for an amateur like me to find my way.

    The downloaded software you refer to applies to self-hosted wordpress.ORG websites. There is no software installation necessary to blog on wordpress.COM which is a completely different system. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    This support forum only provides technical support for free wordpress.COM blogs. If you are trying to set up a self-hosted wordpress.ORG install, please consult the wordpress.org support pages and forum as we are not able to help you with that here. http://wordpress.org/support/
