  How do I hide my blog (not delete it) and create a basic homepage?

  Also, please provide a link to your blog when posting in the forums, or better yet link your username to your blog as outlined in the sticky post at the top of the forum (in the yellow section) 8 things… That way if we need to look at your blog, we have a way to get to it.

  Thanks. I read the instructions on the front-page support page, but I don’t get the image shown when I click on Settings (step no. 8 in the instructions to create a static page).

  In the dashboard, if you click on settings, and then click on reading (on the left navigation area) you will see the stuff mentioned in step 8 right at the top of the page.
