starting out
-
I have a complicated situation trying to set up a website and desperately trying to figure it out. I have 2 usernames jenandrusiak1 and jenandrusiak. I cannot for some reason get logged into the jenandrusiak wordpress after I changed my password and both are using the same email. so first question is how can I get help to access jenandrusiak?
now heres what im having the most trouble with and i am new and have a hard time understanding all of this but my jenandrusiak1 has a website using homesinchathamkent.wordpress.com I dont believe I have webhosting to this and i dont like the wordpress in there. if i pay 3.99 a mth the wordpress will be taken out? and does that include webhosting?
Also I had someone on a local server create a domain http://www.homesinchathamkent.com free webhosting and wordpress was uploaded to this but the format in which wordpress is not the same in this username (jenandrusiak) as it is in the other. It is much more complicated and does not show the actual theme as it does on the (jenandusiak1). Is there a reason why it doesnt show the theme in the same manner and is not as easy to edit? Is there a way to change this….if I can hopefully somehow get myself logged back in. Am I having trouble because they are both using the same email? I would delete the wordpress.com one but it is the only one I can actually edit easily.
I know that is a lot of questions. hopefully it makes sense. Hoping to get some help and advice to simplify this start up.

Howdy –
It looks like you’ve already deleted your other account, jenandrusiak.

Yes, if you upgrade your plan and add a custom domain your visitors are only going to see the custom domain in their browser. You are still going to see both the .wordpress.com site and the custom domain in your account. The free .wordpress.com site address is needed to connect the custom domain to your user account.
You can do this with WordPress.com personal or plan of your choice. Take a look at each plan and features to find the right match for you: wordpress.com/pricing/
WordPress.com takes care of the hosting as well. Regardless of your traffic levels, it is included.

You are confusing WordPress.com (here) with the installation of the WordPress software that you use with a hosting company. This guide outlines the differences between the 2 versions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Again, if your site is with WordPress.com you do not need anything installed on your computer and you do not need a hosting plan.
