starting over

  hi wordpress,

  i was reviewing my blog and i wanted to delete it and i was given the option to start over whilst keeping the domain. what do i have to do?

  don’t delete the site – that will cause the address / URL to be lost for at least two years

  If you want to go in a new direction – a couple of choices

  1) just go in the new direction and leave the old content as history in case you want to look back – some of your readers will probably stay with you some will probably leave or at least not drop by as often

  2) you can clear the content of the site – see below for help – this gets rid of the old content and search engines will over a period of time mostly forget about your old content

  If you have too much content to empty the site yourself you can have the staff empty the site for you.

  NOTE: Once content is deleted and the Trash emptied you will never get your content back.
