Starting Oxygen Theme

  Good morning.

  Very new here and I wish to use the ‘Oxygen’ theme for my blog. I purchased a value bundle in order to customize my choice.

  Really experiencing trouble. I can’t seem to get the Oxygen theme onto any screen where I can at least practice customization, adding my own pictures, about and widgets.

  Really frustating. Can anyone asist please.

  If you go to appearance > themes in your dashboard, you will see three buttons, customize, custom design, and widgets. You can work from the “customize” to make changes and customizations on your theme and preview them, and then when happy with what you have, you can deploy the changes.

  Or, if you are going to be using mostly CSS, you can click on the custom design link on the appearance > themes page and go to work. The custom design CSS section is also available from appearance > custom design > CSS tab.

  Widgets can be added and arranged by using either the “widgets” button at appearance > themes, or by going to appearance > widgets in the dashboard.

  Sorry you were having trouble! It actually sounds like you’re looking for help creating new content like posts and pages or adding images like a header image. All of those things are done via left menu items in the main admin area, and a really good place to start is here:

  Customizing using CSS (which this forum is mainly used for) is a different story, and I’m not sure that’s what you’re goal is.

  We also have a support site available at http://en.support.wordpress.com/ which has examples, and screenshots, and even videos walkthroughs for many of the features. Here are some specific help pages about the things you’ve mentioned:

  To customize the theme colors, fonts, site title, tagline, and a few other things go to Appearance → Themes → Customize and use the slider panel on the right.
