My homepage is named samtalsterapigruppen but has somehow gotten changed to “Författararkiv”. It is however correct again after klicking “Home”. But everyone visiting the page from google gets “Författararkiv” as the title of the startpage. I can not seem to be able to get this right. Need help!

  • Hi there,

Författararkiv is the title of your author archive page at https://samtalsterapigruppen.com/author/samtalsterapigruppen/

That’s a different page from your homepage, but as your homepage displays your latest posts, and you’re the only author on the site, the two pages look the same.

Whenever you publish a post, the post is added to several archives on the site: the main posts archive, as well as category, tag and author archives, those showing only posts for the specific category/tag/author. How the title for these archive pages display is determined by your theme, and in this case your theme only displays the title as “Author Archive” on the author archive pages.

It sounds like people are finding your author archive page rather than the front page in Google Searches, but there’s not really anything you can do about that – that depends on what search terms people are using, and how Google is ranking the different links that exist for your site.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
