Thank you so much for your response. I’m so glad you offered a help. Actually, it was sort of a diary? I only wrote things I want to remember so I don’t really know what to put on my homepage if I put my blog on a static front page. I hope you can help me. I’d be so happy. Thank you

There are 2 options for your front page of the blog.
1. Your posts can publish there.
2. Create a static page.
On the static page you could just write a little intro about yourself of the purpose or the blog, etc…
With option 2. You would need to assign your posts a page to be published on. By default they will publish as the front page, and you are changing that up.
Go to My Sites > Pages > New
You could name this page “Blog”Now, you want to add the “Blog” page in to your menu so it’s easy to find for your visitors. Here are the instructions to do that: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

How can I put pictures that will roll on my static front page? I want to display picture on it instead.

thank you so much. It helped a lot but I thought my current theme – Button supports post slider. I guess i have to change themes. but its okay. You’re so amazing.

No problem :) Button supports a gallery post option. That is not quite the same as a post slider though. Let me know if you have questions about any of these themes or run in to trouble setting them up. I’ll leave this thread open until I hear back.

Hi Kate – what is your site address? Let me know which images you want to have appear in your post slider.
The first step is to create new posts and assign those images as a featured image, then add your featured image tag.

Let’s start by setting your featured content tag. You will go to My Sites > Customize > Featured Content (last option on left) and add the tag there.
Any post with a featured image and this designated tag is going to display in your post slider.

Step two:
Go to My Sites > Blog Posts > New
Create your new post and add the Featured Image from the left hand menu. Check the Categories & Tags tab and make sure you have added the featured content tag there. Save the changes and publish the post.
When you check out your site in a new browser tab you should see that featured image in your post slider.
