Static front page

Hello, i’m trying to find a template that I can set a static front page with panels. I want the home page to show first, followed by blog posts beneath with testemonials at the end, all as one scrolling page. I have tried setting this up with several themes including pique and others. Whenever i go to Customize Theme > Static Front Page and set Front Page to “Home” and Posts page to “Blog”, the website does not show more panels, it only shows home. Or sometimes it will show my blog post, but then it will not show the Home. Is this a glitch? I have tried this with several themes and cannot get my blog posts and home page to show on the Static Front Page.

    Thanks for the help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Whenever i go to Customize Theme > Static Front Page and set Front Page to “Home” and Posts page to “Blog”, the website does not show more panels, it only shows home.

Those actions won’t create panels, regardless of the theme applied. What you’ve done is set the page titled “Home” as the static front page, and the page titled “Blog” as the posts page.

How to add panels to the front page, with the Pique theme applied, is described and illustrated in the Adding Panels section of the Pique theme guide.

Or sometimes it will show my blog post, but then it will not show the Home. Is this a glitch?

If you set the front page to display posts instead of a static page, and you have one post published, then that one post alone will display on the front page, because that would be what you’ve told the front page to do.

I have tried this with several themes and cannot get my blog posts and home page to show on the Static Front Page.

The site https://kaleyeahpermaculture.wordpress.com is displaying a static front page. What other themes have you tried?

Thanks for responding! OK this is really strange. The theme guide said to add panels under Customize > Theme Options. Previously this menu only was giving me the option to change menu settings. I logged out and logged in, and now the same menu is showing Panel 1 – 8. Definitely a glitch…

Glad it’s working properly for you now. I suspect that the problem might have been a local issue, for example a browser issue. However, if you think it’s a glitch, then you may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at right here to call for staff attention.
