Static Front Page Instructions Don't Work

  To set the static front page, go to
  Settings
  Reading
  Change the front page setting from Select to Home. There is NO Home option. Only About. I have tried several different themes. What am I doing wrong?

  Hi there. You first have to create and publish your home page. You won’t be able to point your settings to it if it doesn’t exist yet. (BTW, it doesn’t have to be called “Home”. You can call it whatever you like.)

  You also have to create a page for your posts before you can assign that option in settings.
