Static front page theme not working?

  Hiya,

  I’m trying to set up the static home page theme – I’m using the Sela theme.

  I’ve followed the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#setting-up-a-static-front-page

  However, when I try and add the widgets to change the appearance, it’s not showing up.

  My blog is berryface.wordpress.com.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  You are off to a good start, you’ve just missed a couple of steps.

  I see you have a home page and you’ve set it to the front page template–that’s gret!

  The next step is to set it as your home page. You can do that from your customizer.

  Just click customize in the “My Sites” dropdown on the front of your site. The customizer window will open.

  From there, click “Front” and set Home as your Front page, and another page to hold your posts.

  Once you’ve done that, you should be able to set up the Sela front page the way you want it to appear.
