Static home page displaying other pages as if posts

    I am using the Gateway theme. I made my homepage static. For some reason, my other pages are appearing on my static homepage, as if they were posts. I have checked multiple times, and they are definitely pages, not posts.

    My goal is to have a section under my header that welcomes the reader, and then have the posts in a grid flow below. That is why I decided to make a static home page, but having the other pages that appear in the menu, appear as posts on the homepage, will not work. Help please!
