static home page image

    Hello,
    I am trying to set an image for my home page. I am using the organization theme. I followed these directions

    I created a page called “home,” then I navigated to “settings” then “reading” and selected “a static page.” Front page dropdown menu is set to”home.”

    The photo shows up in the slider, but does not appear when you click the home tab on the website. Would love some help!

    Thank you,

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Sefahey,

    I’m happy to look into this for you.

    Can you please let me know which photo you are hoping to have show up in the slider when you press the “Home” button in the menu?

    Thank you! There is a photo of 15 kis and 3 adults on a mountain top – all wearing tshirts with the school logo.

  • Hi sefahey,

    I see that this picture is 9th in the carousel. Are you attempting to have this image show up first in the carousel when people come to the home page?

    Yes, I’d like it to be first and also to show up when someone presses the “home” tab. Any thoughts? Do I simply need to change the order somewhere? Thank you!

  • After looking through you carousel I found that the images are ordered by most recent post date. Please try the below workaround to re-arrange the image order:

    Try changing the date of the post to a more recent date(it says it was posted Oct 2014, which is why it displays last). You can do this by going to the post with the image and pressing edit or going to Blog Posts in the WordPress dashboard and selecting this post. Once there, you can change the publish date to a more recent date in the right panel. This should bump this image to the front of the carousel!

    Please give it a try and let me know if this helps you. :)

    That worked! Thank you!

  • Awesome! You’re very welcome!
