Static home page theme is not working

    Hi all – I have decided to use wordpress on a small business website. I have installed the theme I desire and have customized to my liking, but I am finding that the home page that I have assigned statically does not hold the same theme elements. Specifically the Body area is supposed to be encompassed by a white background. This happens on all the other pages properly. It also happens when the page assigned as the static home, is NOT assigned as home. It seems there has to be something with the Home assignment messing it up. I’m a WP novice, so any help would be appreciated.
