Static home page/send posts to another page

  Hi,
  I have set my site up with the MistyLook theme. My question is this:
  I want to set my home page to be static. I would like to blog as posts that will be sent and displayed on another page (Musings tab on my site). Is there any way to do this?

  Sorry if this is a stupid question, I’m still on a learning curve.
