Static Homepage & Recent Posts

    I’m trying to display my ‘about’ page on my homepage, and I’m trying to display my recent posts on my ‘blog’ page. When I select ‘static homepage’ and select these options, it’s just displaying all of my pages together. What important step am I missing?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    1, My Sites→Customize→Static Front Page
    2, Select “A static page” under the heading of “Front page displays”
    3, Select “ABOUT” as “Front page”
    4, Select “BLOG” as “Posts page”

    Have you tried the steps above already? This should work well in order to do what you want.

    Thank you so much for your quick response and for your help! I had tried what you suggested, and it didn’t seem to be working at first. Now it seems correctly setup, but the “blog” page still isn’t displaying my recent posts. Is that something I have to configure in the “pages” section? Or should the above steps automatically list my recent posts under the Posts page I select?

    I’m sorry. I missed the important thing.

    Your site(champagnechaos.com) isn’t hosted by WordPress.com. The steps I shared is for the site which is hosted by WordPress.com.

    You are running your site with WordPress.org software. Though I want to help you, but unfortunately you are in the wrong forum for questioning the issue you have now.

    Please kindly get support in the forum of WordPress.org.
