Static homepage that includes sidebar widgets

  Hi. I want to have a static homepage but I noticed when I chose this option the sidebar widgets don’t show like they do when you have it set to “latest post”. What am I missing here? Seems there must be a way to have it all I’m just not thinking it through. THANKS!!! Looking forward to a reply.

  The primary feature of the Twenty Eleven theme is that there is no sidebar when post titles are clicked and posts are displayed on their own pages. The theme has multiple layout options including custom a Showcase Page Template.
